Mercy of Allah (2)

Surah Al-Baqarah 105 :

mā   yawaddu   alladhīna   kafarū   min   ahli   l-kitābi   walā   l-mush’rikīna   an   yunazzala   ʿalaykum   min   khayrin   min   rabbikum
Those who disbelieve, from the People of the Scripture or from the polytheists, do not wish that any good should be sent down to you from your Lord

wal-lahu   yakhtaṣṣu   biraḥmatihi  man  yashāu   wal-lahu   dhū   l-faḍli    l-ʿaẓīmi
And Allah selects for His mercy whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
When Allah decreed the Creation He pledged Himself by writing in His book which is laid down with Him: My mercy predominates over My wrath (Sahih Muslim, Sahih al-Bukhari, Sunan an-Nasa’i and Ibn Majah)

Abu Umama narrated that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “Anyone who shows mercy, even to an animal meant for slaughtering, will be shown mercy by Allah on the Day of Resurrection”
